FiNdInG PeAcE and CoMfOrt in SpIrItUaLiTy...

As I was looking back for the things happened in 2008. I end up having this thought that every year, in most part my spirituality plays a big role in my life. The many blessings that I received and the challenges that I've surpassed.

But, having this thought still some of us have this question in mind. "Does spirituality keeps me well? Do you make it us part of your life?

Ok, let me share with you guys this, did you know that people who attend religious services tend to be healthier than those who are not? :) Owwwwwsss? I know some of you are raising eyebrow...:) But this is according to the report of some people who did a study between health and spirituality.

So, does that mean church goers have longer life? :)Is church a healing place? I hope I can have that emote icon here of laughing out loud.:) Meaning they're God's favorites?! (wondering!) I know God has no favoritism. :)

With all these questions, the faithful will say of course claimed that and believed on that and will say AMEN to that!!! But wait, scientist points out that religious people often take care of themselves better. They don't abuse themselves on drinking, smoking and dwelling on emotional baggages. They're more socially inclined, they have more friends and acquaintances that serves as their support systems, to help them cope with stressful life events.

And it's not only a one way process each of their friend's concern has an effect on each other. Don't get me quote on this ..that means sometimes you learned and get inspired with other life experiences.

So, are we clear now about this that it's not that church goers, people who attend religious services are God's fave. :)

Bottom line is we should never taken for granted our spirituality our love, hope and faith to our God. For me I can say that it helps me a lot to carry through with my dreams, goals and daily battles of life. :)

Praying, meditating and attending religious activities and services. May not cure a diseases, but having my spirituality and religious activities makes me feel better and contribute more with my positive outlook in life and bubbly self.

So, it's always been a blessing to be surrounded by great and supportive people from in and out of my Singles for Christ community, so even far away from them I'll always will have peace and comfort with my spirituality.

Let's look forward to great 2009! Happy New Year and may God be praised!

Busy days...means busyness or business?!

Let's see if my busyness is equal to business. Whatever it takes, busy for me is something to be thankful. :) Wondering why? ... if we have something to do, that means we're not idle or lazy. An opportunity for us to keep moving. But for some busy for them is just an excuse to something, like not calling a loved one, friend or a missed occasion. :) Let me recall how's my "busyness" for the past weeks. Had a great time in Ohio, what a long drive!, long drive is sometimes great if you're just the passenger lol! You have time to look around, think while napping ( how's is it possible? lol) well, it's possible for me...it's just like day dreaming! :). A time to appreciate the quietness of the green surroundings that we passed by and just merely a get away. My online course in Open Education is almost over. Collaborating with people around the globe with same interest is amazing. Exploring the many possibilities of this new learning culture. Defi...

A crave for Tsokolate eh ...!

The other day I was craving for a hot chocolate...well maybe because of the cold weather. But I was craving for not just a hot chocolate. I want something that I used to have back in the Philippines...we call it Tsokolate eh ... wait how are you going to pronounce it ...it should be like this cho-koh-la-teh-eh!...i put the exclamation so you have an accent on the eh!...:) It's a Filipino thick hot chocolate, very similar to the signature hot chocolate of Starbucks. But of course it's way cheaper than a Starbucks hot chocolate. :) Tsokolate eh! is made up of tabrilya (tab-rillia)it's a cacao balls. But it's basically from a cacao fruit. It comes in different shapes but rounded tabrilya is the most common. :) There's a traditional way of doing this ...like before they use a beater for this called "batidor", but I don't use that anymore I just let it boil and use a regular spoon to beat it.:) Simplier but of course it taste better if it's done the...

"Philippine Hospitality" is on TWB(Teacherswithoutborders)

Philippine Hospitality is one of the characteristic that stands out among Filipinos. This is a common trait that Filipinos are known for, especially to most foreigners who have traveled around the country. They will even go out of their way to ensure guest feels comfortable. I remember my mom would have a set of towels, blankets and other stuff prepared and reserved for visitors, given that we don't have much of those for us to use. But it is a primary and mandatory custom. Although we are not the only people in the world who can be friendly and welcoming, but this characteristic is exceptional among us. Actually, there's no country in Southeast Asia where foreigners are so well welcomed as in the Philippines . I know, Thailand , Japan or China are also hospitable, but remain distant. Compare to the Filipino hospitality where in our smile is not politely distant, it is spontaneous and from the heart. What really makes "Philippine Hospitality" exceptional? Here ...
