My Third Stop! "The City That Never Sleeps"

This is New York City™

The City that never sleeps…nor stops talking...everybody seems to be busy and talking to somebody and most likely talking on the phone while walking. :) New York is where culture, arts, dining and entertainment meets.

Want to know what best things you can do in NY that suits your personality?, checked this out... What type of New Yorker …you are? :)

I just did! It says....You Are a Culture Buff!

You are a fixture on the arts and culture scene. You hold season tickets to The Metropolitan Opera, know every Chelsea gallery and attend all the buzz-worthy screenings—and parties—at the Tribeca Film Festival. And you're always looking to try something new, whether it's Greek food in Queens or lessons at the Streb Laboratory for Action Mechanics.

Hmm, seems true enough…one thing I love with traveling is the different cultures I learned and having a bit of experienced of that culture. New York City is culturally rich, because as you can see diverse people were around the place. It's also the center of arts and seems to be obvious by the galleries around the place, art exhibits, art museums, the artistically buildings’ structures, you’ll also see artistic and talented people everywhere, and may it be in the parks or subways. Dining is also fantastic; in one street you can imagine yourself that you’re exactly in China, having Chinese food and stuff. A switched to the next corner you’ll feel the classy set up and fine dining Italian restaurants. Entertainment is also all over the place, which really make NYC popular, you’ll definitely have unlimited options, from theaters, toy stores, in the park, fashion shows, launching, bars …etc…I can tell by just walking along grand central you’ll be entertained already by the artsy glitters and billboard lights.

And also, it’s easy to walk around NY….if you know how to count; you’ll definitely reach your destination. :)

Till my next stop….

Busy days...means busyness or business?!

Let's see if my busyness is equal to business. Whatever it takes, busy for me is something to be thankful. :) Wondering why? ... if we have something to do, that means we're not idle or lazy. An opportunity for us to keep moving. But for some busy for them is just an excuse to something, like not calling a loved one, friend or a missed occasion. :) Let me recall how's my "busyness" for the past weeks. Had a great time in Ohio, what a long drive!, long drive is sometimes great if you're just the passenger lol! You have time to look around, think while napping ( how's is it possible? lol) well, it's possible for me...it's just like day dreaming! :). A time to appreciate the quietness of the green surroundings that we passed by and just merely a get away. My online course in Open Education is almost over. Collaborating with people around the globe with same interest is amazing. Exploring the many possibilities of this new learning culture. Defi...

A crave for Tsokolate eh ...!

The other day I was craving for a hot chocolate...well maybe because of the cold weather. But I was craving for not just a hot chocolate. I want something that I used to have back in the Philippines...we call it Tsokolate eh ... wait how are you going to pronounce it ...it should be like this cho-koh-la-teh-eh!...i put the exclamation so you have an accent on the eh!...:) It's a Filipino thick hot chocolate, very similar to the signature hot chocolate of Starbucks. But of course it's way cheaper than a Starbucks hot chocolate. :) Tsokolate eh! is made up of tabrilya (tab-rillia)it's a cacao balls. But it's basically from a cacao fruit. It comes in different shapes but rounded tabrilya is the most common. :) There's a traditional way of doing this ...like before they use a beater for this called "batidor", but I don't use that anymore I just let it boil and use a regular spoon to beat it.:) Simplier but of course it taste better if it's done the...

"Philippine Hospitality" is on TWB(Teacherswithoutborders)

Philippine Hospitality is one of the characteristic that stands out among Filipinos. This is a common trait that Filipinos are known for, especially to most foreigners who have traveled around the country. They will even go out of their way to ensure guest feels comfortable. I remember my mom would have a set of towels, blankets and other stuff prepared and reserved for visitors, given that we don't have much of those for us to use. But it is a primary and mandatory custom. Although we are not the only people in the world who can be friendly and welcoming, but this characteristic is exceptional among us. Actually, there's no country in Southeast Asia where foreigners are so well welcomed as in the Philippines . I know, Thailand , Japan or China are also hospitable, but remain distant. Compare to the Filipino hospitality where in our smile is not politely distant, it is spontaneous and from the heart. What really makes "Philippine Hospitality" exceptional? Here ...
